My Story

Welcome! I'm Gary, and I specialize in working with men and couples. My practice helps work with men just like you (or your husband, partner, son or relative) with the issues that guys struggle with most, such as stress, depression, cheating, marriage/relationship issues, "nice guy" syndrome (guys who have a hard time saying 'no'), anger, and emotional intimacy, among others.

I have had the honor of working with individuals from every walk of life. I understand that it can be stressful and overwhelming to be a man with the pressures of being a high achiever, financially success, balancing personal and family relationships, and dealing with difficult life transitions. Many of the problems that we men face are not addressed because it is uncomfortable or difficult to find the right person who is trustworthy and can really help.

As a clinical mental health professional, I strive to create a safe and confidential place where all clients can address their personal and professional issues supported by evidence-based practices and empathy. As a guy, I know what men deal with, and work to create a counseling environment that men can relate to, feel heard and find new solutions to their problems.

Maybe you've considered counseling for a while, and haven't taken the first step, but your situation may demand it now. It's not unusual for guys to put off therapy or think that they can get through their situation on their own, with their own solutions. I'd like to help if you're ready.

I am convinced that effective psychotherapy includes building rapport, trust, and achieving awareness through a collaborative process where patient and therapist work together to achieve stated goals. This includes evidence-based methods, learning about the issue or disorder, applying solutions and developing skills and strategies to manage difficulties.

My practice works with individuals to help them enjoy better, more fulfilling relationships, and also help guys figure out how to find the right relationship for them. I work with men to discover how to open up more in their relationship and stop recreating patterns that undermine their happiness. I work with individuals on mental health issues, work, stress and more.

I look forward to speaking with you.

My Education & Experience

I received my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University in 2016. Gary is fortunate to have a wide variety of clinical experiences. Men and adolescent males are a specialized focus of my counseling work, however; I have experience with assisting people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and belief systems.

It is my desire to help individuals connect and feel more confident and balanced with themselves, by connecting with their faith and aligning with their values to be the best version of themselves. I have over 10 years' experience working with individuals.

In addition to my private practice. I am also the Program Manager at Advantage Behavioral Health for Outpatient Addictive Diseases, as well as the Program Manager for the Men and Womens Transitional Living Addiction Recovery Programs.
